A wonderful antique African clay urn. Extensively hand decorated with a geometric hand-carved scratch pattern. This fabulous urn beautifully crafted with a stunning sheen and patina.

This earthenware-fired clay pot would originally have been used for storing and carrying water (and sometimes dried goods) on the head. Fabulously tactile to touch, this organic artisan item is earthy and perfectly imperfect. The perfect piece for the natural, modern rustic or minimally stylish home. These fabulous rustic items are the perfect way to elevate a display on a sideboard or console table. Choose to leave them empty, or fill with seasonal stems and branches.
