Antique African Clay Urn | Small – A fine example of pottery from the Nupe Tribe of Nigeria

Extensively hand decorated with a geometric hand carved scratch pattern this beautiful urn is beautifully rotund.  This pot is supplied with a simple 2cm high ring stand to allow you to stand it upright.

This earthenware fired clay pot would originally have been used for storing and carrying water and (sometimes dried goods) on the head.

Please expect historic imperfections as this item was used in daily life for 100 years. There will be signs of historic use, little dings and dents.
