Antique African Honey Vessel | Safara
Hand-carved from a single piece of hollow tree trunk, this fabulous primitive antique African honey vessel would have originally been used to store honey. A rare and truly unique item, this really is a stunning statement piece for your home. It has a wonderful shape and form – perfect simply left empty or for displaying plants and also decorative seasonal foliage.
This piece is a charming and one-of-a-kind original piece constructed from weathered solid timber. It is a wonderful and fully restored antique. Its tactile timbers have been sympathetically restored, allowing the age and beauty of the timber to be revealed. Imperfections and historic marks are not generally sanded from the surface but are left visible to celebrate the age and history of the item. Historic woodworm holes may be evident but will have been treated. Minor variations and imperfections in the timber are therefore to be expected, embraced, and celebrated as part of the unique beauty of the piece.
