A fabulous antique sandstone mortar. A wonderful decorative item for your kitchen shelving or kitchen island or arranged as part of a display on a sideboard or console table.

Stone mortars are very collectable and look fabulous simply left empty or planted with a selection of small alpine plants.

This antique mortar is rustic with a few small imperfections. There are visible chips, and the surface is rustic and covered with patches of moss and lichen. The original pestle has become mislaid somewhere along the way unfortunately – however, the sandstone mortar is beautiful in its own right and would make a fantastic decorative addition to your home.
