Antique White Marble Round Tray

Our beautifully simple antique marble platter bear the marks of the craftsman who carved each one.  Each one is predominantly white, some have a slight colour to them, with very pale grey to cream and ochre tones evident on some trays.

Although these trays would normally be used as a decorative item, they are perfectly suitable as a platter for serving food. We would recommend that you line the tray with greaseproof paper or parchment before serving oily food such as cheese.

Made from a single piece of solid stone, each one is unique.  As you would expect from an item of this age, there may be minor imperfections, and signs of tool marks and makers marks evident on the surface of each tray that are part of their inherently unique look. We feel these imperfections just add to the character of these unique items.
