Our beautiful framed Antique real seaweed framed | no 4 is Victorian and therefore over 100 years old. The original collector, possibly a marine biologist, has beautifully pressed each specimen carefully laying it out as if it were still floating in the currents of the ocean. Each specimen is incredibly fine and delicate and each specimen is totally unique and original.

The seaweed pages have been newly framed in a simple black frame.

The paper on which the seaweed was originally pressed is still present and the paper is beautifully folded and watermarked by the dampness present during the drying process – this gives a really three dimensional look to the artwork.  Absolutely limited in numbers this is a one of a kind collection of botanical art.

These wonderful artworks would look divine in your costal home however could work equally well in a guest bedroom. We would style this antique real seaweed in a group, they would look amazing in a quartet but also as many as eight would look incredible.
