A wonderful vintage wooden garden sieve. Also referred to as a riddle, they were used before machinery was available as a means of soil sifting.  Usually, they were used to improve the soil quality by sifting out small stones or clay etc from the soil.

Due to their aged worn patina, these wooden vintage garden sieves look fantastic displayed on a wall in a garden room or boot room as a piece of garden art.
