Wooden Garden Sieve | Extra Large

These wooden garden sieve’s or riddles as they are sometimes called, were used before machinery was available as a soil sifter. Usually, they were used to improve the soil quality by sifting out small stones or clay etc from the soil. The larger the mesh the more likely they would have been used to shake dirt from root vegetables such as potatoes.

Due to their worn patina, these wooden vintage garden sieve look fantastic on a wall in a garden room or boot room as a piece of garden art.

The small riddle in the front of this picture is not for sale.

Home Barn is situated near the lovely village of Little Marlow. We are very close to the river Thames and so there are plenty of lovely walks nearby. There is also ample parking out front, along with several other businesses for you to visit. Because we are on a farm, there is also a lovely farm shop, for you to pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables on your way home.

There is also a butchers shop and a countrysports store along with several lovely country pubs just across the road.
