A fabulous antique French deconstructed sofa. A beautiful original antique French sofa with a deconstructed look dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

The original upholstery has been removed revealing the fabulously chic timber construction and vintage stitching beneath. The chair’s construction is fully revealed at the back, and the front features the exposed horsehair interior.

This particular sofa has removable arms and back – meaning that you can also use this piece as a daybed or chaise longue.

These occasional Bergere sofas have a modern rustic look.  As a result of their stripped-back appeal, they look fabulous in both a country house and a modern apartment.  Beautiful in a bedroom, bathroom, living room or study. Add a sheepskin throw blanket and cushion for an extra layer of luxury.

Due to being hand-stitched and traditionally upholstered, you can still see the original upholstery pins.  These antique French sofas are now the ultimate decorative antique. Elegant original timber legs to the front and simple legs to the rear.

These items have all had a previous life and, in most cases, the condition will show signs of age with wear and tear including scuffs and scratches.

They look fabulous kept as they are, or re-upholstered, but we love them just as they are.

Delivery – important information

Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier as this item is too large and heavy to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.

When delivery takes place, it will be inside the threshold of your home only. This service is undertaken by a one-man delivery service. The courier will not be able to carry the furniture up or down multiple steps to access your property.

Please therefore be prepared to help the courier move the item from the van to just inside your door. You will need to supply a strong helper to assist on the day of delivery.

After the courier has left, you will also need to remove the item from its packaging and carry it from your doorway into your home or garden.
