Antique dough bowl | Alessio. A huge bowl is a splendid centrepiece for a large dining table or coffee table or if you are lucky enough to have a really huge bathroom they look beautiful with guest towels nestled inside.
Dating from the early 1900’s dough bowls were used across Asia to knead up and prove bread dough. An antique dough bowl can still be used as such but we think of them as a decorative item. They look stylish on a table, loaded with fruit or vegetables, but also suit magazines, hand towels in a bathroom, or books on a coffee table.  Even empty these stunning decorative antiques are beautiful. Our dough bowls are generally, time-worn with signs of use and age, please expect imperfections, irregular patina, and historic woodworm holes in some items.  The imperfections are the essence of their beauty.  A truly original antique, totally homemade, and one-of-a-kind
