A simply stunning late 18th century Oriental trunk.  This beautiful solid timber trunk would have been used to store important documents or family treasures.  Its simple lines and beautiful original paintwork make this item a really stand-out piece of statement furniture.  Made from lightweight wood (probably pine) the patina of the timbers and worn black paint are just beautiful.

This size of this medium sized trunk makes it most versatile.  It could be used as a small coffee table or as a linen chest or nightstand.
