A lovely vintage oil painting on board dating from the 1920’s.
The colours in this image are very muted and beautiful and we love the fact that the surface is aged and imperfect. Â The cropping of this image is what drew us to it. Â We can only assume that Gerrard did not agree to have his face painted whilst he sat for this portrait!
