A wonderful vintage handstitched kantha throw.

These fabulous vintage ethnic throws are made using the traditional craft of Kantha by sewing patchwork cloth together from rags. This traditional Indian technique originally evolved from the thrift of rural women in the Bengali region of the Indian subcontinent.

These fabulous artisan throws are perfect for adding a pop of colourful interest to interiors. They work equally well inside your home, perfect on a bed or sofa – but also for use outside in the summer on sunloungers and daybeds. Each one is completely unique in colour and pattern. These Kantha throws are also double-sided and will fit into many colour schemes – please refer to the additional photos for more details of each side.

Please note each one of these throws is completely unique, however, because of the nature of the fabric, there may be minor imperfections in the fabric and embroidery. These imperfections just add to the beauty of the piece and should therefore be enjoyed and embraced.
