Description
Antique African Wooden Vase |Adola
A wonderfully unique Antique African Wooden Vase |Adola. They are the perfect antique home accessory and would look beautiful as a statement piece inside the home.
These antique African pots originate from the Borana people of Ethiopia, a tribe of semi-nomadic herders.
Made from plant fibre, twine and leather using an ancient technique requiring much skill, the pots were then treated with resin or oil to make them waterproof. They would have originally been milk containers and used to serve milk to guests at special occasions, such as weddings and christenings.
Every pot is unique, irregular in shape and in a worn, rustic condition, so please expect vintage imperfections. There may be small holes, dents and repairs that are part of their inherently unique look. We feel these imperfections just add to the character of these unique items.
Please see secondary images to get a feel for how these pots look when displayed in a group at home.
