Antique French Earthenware Pitcher | Small

A wonderful antique french earthenware pitcher | small with a lovely rotund shape and a beautiful subtle matt glaze.  Originally used to store valuable oil, these vases were entirely handmade and are very collectable.  Each region of France has a slightly different distinct design, shape and form as their locally-made oil vessels.

These lovely vases are very sculptural.  They look fabulous both on the floor or as part of a display on a shelf or coffee table. They are ideal for holding seasonal branches or flowers.
