Antique primitive flint grain thresher – Elma

Dating from the 18th Century wooden grain threshers were embedded with flints or sharpened stones.  Used to remove the grain from ears of wheat in an agricultural setting.  These were designed by the Romans to be pulled by donkeys over the cut wheat to help remove the wheat from the chaff and the ears from the stalks.  This item is ancient and is in used and imperfect condition.

Use as decorative item, mounted or leaning against the wall.
