A simply stunning late 18th century Oriental trunk. Â This beautiful solid timber trunk would have been used to store important documents or family treasures. Â Its simple lines and beautiful original paintwork make this item a really stand-out piece of statement furniture. Â Made from lightweight wood (probably pine) the patina of the timbers and worn black paint are just beautiful.
This size of this medium sized trunk makes it most versatile. Â It could be used as a small coffee table or as a linen chest or nightstand.
