Description

Vintage large wooden trug | Elena

Our vintage large wooden trug | Elena is a one of a king item over 80 years old.  This trug is very generous in size.

This charming wooden trug would have been used to carry the harvest of vegetables and fruit.

The handmade timber carrier features a steam bent handle made from a lovely branch.  This is not a mass-produced item and would have been made by the gardener/ farmer in small quantities.

We have not restored these trugs in any way, expect very rustic condition. Our French trugs have signs of historic imperfections having been used by generations of gardeners.

Fabulous for magazines, fruit, and for gardening.  They look superb on a kitchen island or in the greenhouse.
