The surfaces have been carefully sanded in a way that still allows the age of the timbers to be revealed. Imperfections and historic marks are not sanded from the surface but left on show to celebrate the age of this item. The timber is soft and tactile and smooth to the touch and the surfaces have a beautiful patination,

A charming original item made from solid wood, the timbers will date from over a hundred years ago.  Please therefore refer to the images for details of the rustic finish.  Please also expect surface features to bear marks of the passage of time.

Delivery – important information

Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier as this item is too large and heavy to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.

When delivery takes place, it will be inside the threshold of your home only. This service is undertaken by a one-man delivery service. However the courier will not be able to carry the furniture up or down multiple steps to access your property.

Please therefore be prepared to help the courier move the item from the van to just inside your door. You will need to supply a strong helper to assist on the day of delivery.

After the courier has left, you will also need to remove the item from its packaging and carry it from your doorway into your home or garden.
